Kathryn recently joined AllianceBernstein (AB) as a senior analyst within the high-yield research group focusing on the energy sector. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing all energy-related investments including the E&P, oilfield services, and refining sectors within the firm’s non-investment grade portfolios. As it relates to evaluating specific companies, her duties include initial screening, credit analysis, issuer interaction, committee review and final investment decision. Overall, AB oversees approximately $35 billion of high-yield investments for institutional, private and retail clients globally. Prior to this, she was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank on the sell-side. During her tenure there, Kathryn was a high-yield analyst for 12 years, covering automotive, technology and most recently, the energy sector. Before joining DB as a Vice President in 2003, she was an Associate in private equity and an Analyst in investment banking, where she covered aerospace and industrial companies. Kathryn holds both a BS in economics and a BA in business administration (Walter A. Haas School of Business) from the University of California, Berkeley. She is located in New York, New York.
