Sarah Orban Salati serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for the New York Power Authority (NYPA).  As Chief Commercial Officer, Sarah is responsible for managing the wholesale and retail commercial operations at NYPA including oversight of $2 billion in annual revenues from NYPA’s power generating assets through wholesale energy trading and contracts executed under NYPA’s hydro power-based economic development programs.  Sarah also leads NYPA’s Project and Business Development team that develops grid scale projects including transmission, renewable and storage assets within New York State.  On the retail side, Sarah leads the Clean Energy Business line serving customers with products including customer-sited and distribution-level distributed energy resources, traditional energy efficiency technologies, LED street lighting, electric vehicle charging infrastructure as well as, NYPA’s digital energy service offering, the New York Energy Manager. Sarah joined NYPA in August 2018 from the AES Corporation.  During her tenure at AES, Sarah held a range of global strategic, commercial and operational roles including expatriate assignments in London, England and Budapest, Hungary leading teams responsible for commercial contracting and the execution of transactions and other corporate initiatives across Europe, Latin America, CIS, Africa, Middle East and Asia.
